Matthew Russell, a junior at Royal, won the 800 meters in 1:53.21 and placed second in the 3,200 meters in 9:17.61 at the CIF Southern Section Division 2 Finals at Moorpark High. Russell helped the Highlanders finish fifth overall with 34.5 points.
