Lamarr Kirk, Jr., a senior at Long Beach Poly High in California, won the Division 1 boys 800-meter title in 1:54.13 at the CIF Southern Section finals at Moorpark High. Kirk also contributed to the Jackrabbits placing second in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:15.42, as Long Beach Poly won the Division 1 team crown with 70 points.
