Norma Alvarez, a senior at Santee Education Complex, won the girls 1,600 meters in 5:11.41 and finished second in the 800 meters in 2:22.80 at the CIF L.A. City Section Finals at Scott King Track at Birmingham High's Rick Prizant Stadium. Alvarez finished second in the 1,600 and fourth in the 3,200 in 2019.
